Asset Types
An asset is any piece of equipment connected to the platform - a battery, solar installation, grid meter, inverter, EV charger, or other device. The platform monitors each asset continuously, showing live readings and historical data.
Assets belong to a site and are managed by the gateway installed there.
Supported Asset Types
Battery
An energy storage system - a battery bank that can be charged and discharged. The platform tracks how full the battery is, how much power is flowing in or out, and indicators of the battery's long-term health.
Examples: Commercial battery containers, behind-the-meter storage systems
Solar
A photovoltaic (PV) generation system. The platform shows how much power the panels are currently producing and how much energy has been generated over time.
Examples: Rooftop solar installations, ground-mounted solar farms
Grid
The utility grid connection point. The platform measures how much power is being imported from or exported to the grid, helping you understand your net energy position at any moment.
Examples: Grid connection meters, smart meters
Building
A meter or sensor monitoring the electricity consumption of a building or load. Useful for understanding overall demand and identifying consumption patterns.
Examples: Building sub-meters, main distribution boards
Charger
An electric vehicle (EV) charging station. The platform tracks charging sessions, power delivered, and connector status.
Examples: AC and DC EV chargers
Inverter
A power conversion system that converts DC from a battery or solar source to AC for the grid or building loads. The platform monitors both the DC and AC sides.
Examples: Battery inverters, solar inverters, bidirectional converters
Load
A controllable electrical load or piece of equipment whose consumption is monitored. Useful when you want visibility into a specific system without it being categorised as one of the types above.
Examples: HVAC systems, industrial process equipment
